Aquila House
Aquila is the house of the eagles. “Aquila” means ”eagle” in Latin. Eagles are protective and look out for anyone who might be struggling so they can be good friends and lend a helping hand!
The Story of Aquila
One fall day, Eagle was flying over the forest. She felt the sun on his face and the wind beneath her wings. As she flew, she heard frantic chirping coming from a nest below. She swooped down and saw four tiny robins in a nest. They looked cold and hungry. Their mother was nowhere in sight!
Just then, Eagle noticed a snake slowly climbing the trunk of the tree where the baby birds’ nest was perched. She knew the snake would eat the baby birds if he was able to reach them! Quick as a flash, Eagle flew down to the robins’ nest and shielded them with her wings. As the snake poked his head over the top of the nest and opened his jaws, Eagle grabbed him with her beak and threw him back down to the ground.
Soon after, the mother robin returned to the nest with food for her babies. She thanked Eagle for protecting her children. Because Eagle was aware of her surroundings, she was able to help protect those baby birds.
